The HBCU Black College Expo Tour welcomed more than 1000 high school students Feb. 11. at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) was among more than 150 colleges and universities recruiting the best and brightest college prospects. Interim University President Larry Robinson, Ph.D. and First Lady Sharon Robinson enjoyed greeting and chatting with students and parents. They were joined by the FAMU recruitment team, which includes Student Affairs Vice President, William Hudson, Jr., Alumni Affairs Executive Director Carmen Cummings, TaQuasha Freeman of the FAMU College of Agriculture and Food Sciences, and alumni leaders Tirrell Hamilton and Arthur Davis of the FAMU NAA Los Angeles Chapter. The FAMU Exhibit was one of the most popular as many of the students inquired about FAMU’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math programs.
