The Florida A&M University College of Agriculture and Food Sciences Cooperative Extension Program (CEP) cordially invites the community to attend the 2018 FAMU Farm Fest on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the FAMU Research and Extension Center, located at 4259 Bainbridge Hwy in Quincy, Florida.
Florida A&M University (FAMU) Farm Fest promotes public awareness of the full scope of the “land-grant concept” in education which embraces teaching, research and extension (outreach) at FAMU. The local community in the Big Bend and surrounding counties are invited to this family-friendly event, as adults and children will enjoy the workshop, hands-on demos, garden and farm tours, a kid zone and the first FAMU CEP BBQ University-Grill Master Class (capacity is limited to 20 attendees and there’s a separate $25 fee). The fee for the BBQ University- Grill Masterclass attendees include festival admission, use of a personal BBQ grill, fresh cuts of meat and a FAMU CEP’s Grill Master grill kit, to take home.
Onsite registration for the Farm Fest is available. The registration fee $5.00 per person for adults (18 and over); free for kids 17 and under and seniors 65 and over. The registration fee includes a lunch and swag bag. Please call for group rates.
