FAMU President Larry Robinson, Ph.D., invites all candidates for the fall 2018 commencement exercises to attend the President’s Graduate and Parents Reception on Thursday, December 13, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. The reception will be held at the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium Mezzanine Level. It will take place immediately following Friday’s commencement rehearsal, which starts at 4 p.m.
The special event is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. Guests will have the opportunity to hear from Danielle Lewis Jones, assistant vice president, senior manager, public relations, an alumna of FAMU’s School of Journalism & Graphic Communication. She will share her unique story about her FAMU experience and career.
Fifth Third Bank executive vice president Brian Lamb, an alum of the FAMU Developmental Research School and senior vice president and FAMU Foundation board member Hosetta Coleman helped facilitate the partnership between FAMU and the bank, which will sponsor a spring reception for the FAMU Class of 2019.
“I appreciate the generous support of Fifth Third Bank and look forward to greeting graduates and thanking their parents and family members for helping our best and brightest students reach the pinnacle of their undergraduate careers,” said Robinson.
More than 650 graduates anticipate crossing the stage during commencement exercises on Friday, December 14, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, December 15, at 9 a.m. in the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center.
