Professor Bettye Grable, Ph.D., has been named the acting dean of the Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Journalism & Graphic Communication (SJGC).
Grable has been a professor specializing in public relations in the SJGC Division of Journalism since 2006. She also served two terms as president of the Faculty Senate. In that capacity, she represented the faculty on the FAMU Board of Trustees.
Grable earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and a master’s from FAMU. She earned her doctorate in Public Affairs and Mass Communication from Louisiana State University.
Grable taught at Boston University before she joined the FAMU faculty as an associate professor.
