Battalion commissioned 21 new Army lieutenants.
The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Army ROTC Rattler Battalion was recognized by 6th Brigade Headquarters in Savannah, Georgia, for being in the top five of 39 colleges and universities that achieved its commissioning mission for the class of 2020.
The Rattler Battalion not only achieved its designated commissioning mission of 15 cadets, it overproduced and commissioned 21 new Army lieutenants. The Brigade Headquarters for the Rattler Battalion includes all senior Army ROTC units at colleges and universities in the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

The Rattler Battalion tied with Jackson State University as the top-ranked ROTC units in the Medium-Sized Battalion category among all universities.
The Fall 2020 commissioned officers were:
2nd Lt. Asia Hall, Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Army Nurse)
2nd Lt. Travis Dickey, Tallahassee, Florida, Quartermaster
2nd Lt. Ivan Roundtree Jacksonville, Florida, Transportation Corps
