The outdoor ceremony is planned for Bragg Memorial Stadium.
Florida A&M University will host in-person ceremonies for its spring 2021 Commencement. The University will hold six ceremonies that will begin on Friday, April 23 through Sunday, April 25, 2021.
A more detailed schedule for each college and school is forthcoming and will be posted on the Commencement website at www.famu.edu/commencement.
Our students, parents, faculty, and staff are top priority, and the University will continue to adhere to all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Board of Governors guidelines to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with all of our spring 2021 graduates.
The open air ceremony will be held at Bragg Memorial Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors to either to the Al Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center or Gaither Gym. There will be a maximum of 250 graduates in each ceremony. Each graduate would be allowed up to four guests at the ticketed event.
These ceremonies will celebrate only spring 2021 graduates. Dates and details of each ceremony will be announced by Friday, March 5. The University will also host an in-person ceremony for 2020 graduates this summer.
“It’s our hope we will be able to celebrate our graduates who participated in virtual ceremonies in 2020 with in an in-person ceremony this summer. Additional details are forthcoming,” said Commencement Committee Chair Genyne Boston, Ph.D.., associate provost for academic and faculty affairs.
