TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) has been invited to serve as a platform guest at the prestigious Catalyst Awards Dinner. The dinner is one of the business world’s most prestigious and broadly attended events and will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at The Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom in New York City.
Nearly 1,600 guests are expected to attend the exclusive event, including CEOs and leading executives from top corporations and professional firms. Jimmy Miller, vice president for Communications and External Relations, will attend on behalf of President Elmira Mangum, Ph.D. Chevron and Proctor & Gamble are among the organizations to be honored.
The annual event honors innovative organizational approaches with proven, measurable results that address the recruitment, development, and advancement of all women. Since 1987, Catalyst has recognized 78 initiatives at 84 organizations from around the world. These groundbreaking diversity and inclusion programs have changed workplaces, communities, and lives.
