The annual football Media and Fan Day is slated for Sat., Aug. 16 at The Alfred Lawson Center. This will be the first opportunity to meet the 2014 edition of the Rattler Football Team. Coach Earl Holmes and his staff will be there with the players as they prepare to kickoff the season on Aug.30, against the Tigers of Jackson State University.
The event kicks off with the media segment, which is closed to the public. Football players old and new will take their solo head shots and team shots and talk with members of the media about the upcoming slate.
At 2 p.m., the doors of the Lawson Center will open to the public. Rattlers fans can take part in the free photo booth, grab free posters and take part in a host of family fun activities.
Bring your cameras. The entire Rattler football squad will be available for photos. We’ll aslo have some social media contests, where you post your favorite photos for a chance to win prizes. The music will be played by DJs Laila Jade and Z-Dub. They’ll be playing the old school and the new school to get you in that Rattler Spirit.
The FAMU Ticket Office will also be open so fans can select and purchase their season tickets on the spot. The ticket office accepts cash and credit cards for your ticket purchases. For more information on tickets, please call (850)599-3141 or visit us on the web at www.FAMUAthletics.com
