We are excited to launch a new “Dean’s Town Hall Series,” highlighting Florida A&M University School of the Environment’s response to environmental issues that affect our community. Our first topic is titled “Let’s Talk Environmental Justice” and will be held virtually on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 6 pm. This discussion will address the policies, ethics, disparities, and scientific evidence that challenges the notion of systemic racism in America. Also, our efforts coincide with the recent protests and civil unrest that are occurring across the globe.
We look forward to you joining in on the conversation and gain valuable insight to empower your community members to take action. Listed below is the link to register, several YouTube videos and an article on “Cancer Alley” that we plan to utilize as the basis for our discussion.
