Rontel Batie
Tampa Bay Business Journal recently featured Batie, a FAMU 2011 political science graduate, as one of their “People on the Move.” Batie has been named the national director of AMIKids, an organization that gives at-risk youth the support they need to excel. Batie is charged with developing cost-effective standard recognition and partnership programs with large corporations in order to bolster AMIkids’ initiatives. This includes working to foster growth in fundraising, hiring, promotions and engaging at-risk youth.

Fulbright & Fulbright, CPA, PA, was voted as one of 2016’s Best Accounting Firms in the Durham, NC, area by Durham Magazine. Edward Fulbright, chairman and CEO, graduated from FAMU in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Edward and his wife Genevia began the business in 1986 with just one IBM computer and have expanded the firm to include financial consulting and much more.
