Florida A&M University (FAMU) plans to welcome the University’s incoming class of 2022, transfer students and returning students with all of the “strikes” and whistles.
From August 23-31, “Welcome Week 2K18: 22 Rattler Street” will feature events and activities for students to get to know their fellow classmates and enjoy FAMU traditions. Traditions will include the Freshman Pinning Ceremony, a rite of passage, the First Strike Fair and new experiences like a Silent Glow Party and Vision Board Party. Students will also hear inspirational messages from dynamic local and national leaders during the event.
Once the schedule is finalized, a full list of welcome week events will be posted on the Student Activities website: studentactivities.famu.edu.
Welcome Week will also feature the University’s One-Stop-Shop that includes important student services all under one roof in the Alfred Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Financial Aid Services will be available August 22 – 24.
