The 2018 Florida A&M University (FAMU) fall President’s Tour concluded September 28 in Atlanta, Ga. at Frederick Douglass High School. The school rolled out the orange carpet for the University and high school students to experience a taste of FAMU.
FAMU President Larry Robinson, Ph.D., University leadership, student leaders and staff engaged with a group of enthusiastic students in a packed auditorium at the high school.
Students enjoyed a personal recruitment fair, a new FAMU Connection storyline – with new choreography – and opportunities to ask Vice President of Student Affairs William E. Hudson, Ph.D. and other University leaders and staff questions one-on-one.
Members of the local Metro Atlanta Chapter of the FAMU National Alumni association greeted the FAMUly and prospective students.
City of Atlanta Commissioner of Human Resources, Marian Y. Woods, attended the event on behalf of City of Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, a FAMU alumna and Frederick Douglass High School graduate.
Next, the President will be traveling to central and south Florida in November to recruit the area’s best and brightest high school students.
