Florida A&M University (FAMU) invites alumni, faculty, staff, students and the community to participate in the President’s Toy Drive. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2018 at the President’s House, located at 1810 South Adams Street, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Come and celebrate the holiday season and donate new and unwrapped gifts for children of all ages. Donations may be dropped off prior to the event at the President’s House,1810 South Adams Street, from 3 – 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5 and Thursday, Dec. 6.
“The holidays are a special time of year, and we want to help spread the joy of the season to girls and boys in our community,” said FAMU President Larry Robinson, Ph.D. “We thank the community for their generous contributions in helping us bring smiles to children in the Tallahassee community and surrounding areas.”
Each year, President Robinson and his wife, Sharon Robinson, greet faculty and staff, along with the general public, to thank them for donating gifts to several charities. While all gifts are appreciated, President Robinson is requesting donations of bicycles and helmets. Student organizations are encouraged to participate as well, and the club or organization that donates the most unwrapped toys will win a gift certificate for their group.
