FAMU-FSU College of Engineering graduate Joseph Petit-Homme, Jr. was named the 2019 Modern Day Technology Leader at the 33rd Annual Black Engineer of the Year Award (BEYA) Conference.
The BEYA Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Global Competitiveness Conference recognized outstanding individuals in the STEM field, provided hands-on workshops and seminars discussing various topics.
Petit-Homme also helps grow Ford Motor Company’s talent pipeline through college networks by providing summer internship opportunities for students from the Florida A&M University (FAMU) – Florida State University (FSU) College of Engineering program at Ford Motor Company.
According to Ford’s career website, summer interns are engaged in full-time work, hands-on experience, networking, and educational activities to gain exposure to senior level management and learn more about Ford.
Most summer interns will have just completed their junior year of an undergraduate program or one academic year of a master’s program and are expecting to graduate the following year.
