Just in time for fall semester, students can download the updated FAMU app, FAMU Mobile, to enjoy the following new features:
- Time management features that will help students be early for class
- Real-time access to course schedules
- Real-time locations of the Venom Express shuttle bus services
Updates for the Venom Express shuttle will help students better plan their schedules and be on time for class.
“This is important. It provides students an opportunity to have real-time locations of the shuttles that bring students to campus so that they have specific waiting times and to improve customer service,” said William Hudson, Jr., Ph.D., vice president of Student Affairs.
Venom bus drivers are now employed by the University as a part of the Campus Safety and Parking division.
The FAMU app also features: quick access to FAMU news and events, email, financial aid and registration, Rattler athletics news, schedules and scores, and FAMU’s social media channels including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
FAMU Mobile also serves as a personal tour guide, allowing students to take a virtual tour of the campus and locate campus buildings. It’s a hub for connecting academics to student life and entertainment. Students can listen to the campus radio station, WANM 90.5 – The Flava Station, and watch live events on FamCast.
To download FAMU Mobile, visit the App store or the Google Play Store.
