Florida A&M University (FAMU) Marching “100” delighted the more than 100,000 spectators gathered for the 33rd Tallahassee annual Winter Festival Saturday.
The large crowd gathered for the celebration of lights, music and arts events and the parade down Monroe Street.
The panel of judges, which includes community leaders, found the Marching “100” top band in the Best of Nighttime Holiday Parade Winners.
The Marching “100” has appeared in the holiday parade once or twice in the past two decades, according to Band Director Shelby Chipman, Ph.D.
Next up for the band is the Fort Lauderdale Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade then the Honda Battle of the Bands in Atlanta on January 25, 2020.
