The Florida A&M University Office of Communications snagged 2021 gold and platinum Hermes Creative Awards. The Office of Communications won a gold campaign Hermes Creative Award for its “Call the Shots” campaign to encourage the community to get flu shots and COVID-19 vaccinations. FAMU won a platinum campaign Hermes Creative Award for a 48-page recruitment brochure titled “Discover What You Can Become.”
Both entries were created and designed by Office of Communications’ Art Director Brion Eason and Assistant Director of Publications Britney Smith. “I am proud to announce that the Office of Communications has brought in two more awards for these campaigns,” said Eason. “This effort is indicative of the work we do on behalf of FAMU,” Eason added. Smith added, “this is the second consecutive year that our office has won competitive awards, which is a recognition of our commitment to excellence.”
Hermes Creative Awards honors “the messengers and creators of the information revolution.” Armed with their imaginations and computers, Hermes winners bring their ideas to life through traditional and digital platforms.
Each year, competition judges evaluate the creative industry’s best publications, branding collateral, websites, videos, and advertising, marketing, and communication programs.
The award is the creation of Hermes’ design staff working with artists and craftsmen from Society Awards, the world’s foremost designer and fabricator of custom awards. Society Awards’ clients include the Golden Globes, Emmy’s, MTV, Academy of Country Music, YouTube, The Voice, and Dancing with the Stars.
