This mentoring session will be an opportunity for young women considering science to directly interact with women who are already successful scientists. The focus will be on career awareness and contact building. Students will learn more about what careers are available, career pathways, obstacles women face, and how these individual women overcame obstacles to become successful scientists.

In this reggae-infused musical, Ziggy, a shy child who’s frightened by hurricanes, mongooses, and the evilspirited bird, Duppy, refuses to leave his own room to experience the outside world. One day his friend Nansi persuades him to leave the house. With the help of Dr. Bird and his feathered friends, Ziggy eventually realizes
that, “everything is gonna be all right.” Come experience the beautiful island of Jamaica through the friends’
