Grape Harvest Festival 2020

GRAPE HARVEST FESTIVAL REGISTRATION

Join us at the 19th Annual Grape Harvest Festival on Saturday, August 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the festival is expected to draw more than 3,000 participants and will be held at the FAMU Center for Viticulture and Small Fruit Research, located at 6361 Mahan Drive in Tallahassee.

Celebrate family, food, fun, and agricultural discovery in recognition of FAMU’s role as a national leader in viticulture research. Featured activities include the grape and wine sampling, popular grape stomping contest, mobile marine lab, water slides, a grape throwing competition, a hula hoop competition, live entertainment,  the 5K/2K vineyard run and walk-a-t hon, grape picking, a health fair, and more than 60 community exhibitors and vendors.

In addition to the various family-friendly activities, participants will have an opportunity to tour more than 45 acres of the University’s premier research vineyards.

Please be advised that online pre-registration with general admission of $8.00 for the event is closed as of end of the day of Thursday, August 22, 2019. Children under age of 12 and FAMU students with the valid ID are admitted for free.

Onsite registration for 2019 Grape Harvest Festival will be open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 with general admission of $10.00.

Festival Parking at the “Antique Car Museum” (6800 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32317, phone (850) 942-0137) will be open at 7:30 a.m. at the day of the  event.

Complementary “Bus shuttle” to festival ground is provided on every 10–15 minutes schedule.

FEES:

Food Vendors: $300

Merchandise Vendors: $150

General Admission Onsite: $10

Cheese and Wine Sampling Onsite $15

Children under 12 and FAMU ID (valid): FREE

All other students with Valid ID: $5

Online General Admission: $8

Online Cheese and Wine Sampling: $12

VINEYARD RUN/WALK:

Adults online $8 and on-site $10

FAMU Students (Valid student ID) Free

Non FAMU Student $5

10 a.m. –  12 p.m. –  Wine Making Workshop (1st and 2nd session – main building patio)

11 a.m. – 12 p.m.  –  Opening Ceremony

*Some grape juice may cause allergic reactions. If you are sensitive to grape juice, we encourage you not

to participate in this particular contest.

 

**Registration is necessary to pick grapes in the vineyards. Multicolor gift bags will be provided.

*** You must be 21 years or older to participate. Photo ID is required.
