The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host four workshops for entrepreneurs in the coming weeks. The SBDC at FAMU works with existing and startup small businesses to help them grow and compete in today’s global economy. These workshops are designed to assist entrepreneurs, new and seasoned, in the growth and development of their skills as business managers.
• Financing Your New Business
August 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the SBDC in Innovation Park
This course is designed to explore the avenues that are available to entrepreneurs who need financing to start a new business. It will be led by Aundrá McGlockton, Sr., a certified business analyst with the SBDC.
All aboard! The Rattler Express Bus Trip to watch the FAMU Rattlers play Tennessee State will depart on Sat. 9/27. The trip to Tennessee is approximately 200 miles farther than Jackson State therefore the roundtrip bus ride is $135.00 per person. 4th International Conference and Exhibition on Materials Science and Engineering provides a perfect symposium for scientists, engineers, directors of companies and students in the field of Materials Science and Nanotechnology to meet and share their knowledge. The scientific program paves a way to gather visionaries through the research talks and presentations to put forward many thought provoking strategies. The program will focus on current research and advancements in materials research, synthesis, and fabrication.
LUNCH and LEARN. This informational workshop assists faculty in developing effective student- learning outcomes for various purposes,such as course redesign and assessment. Participants will discover how to enhance current Student-learning outcomes, align outcomes with Bloom’s taxonomy and link outcomes with various assessments.
